We built 2 large (10 feet x 12 feet) projection screens for our church. We made the screens from mdf. Biscuited and glued the abutting edges. Primed and painted. It has separated just enough where you can see lines on the screens. I need to fill these in, sand and put on another coat (or 2) of paint.

I guess the bondo approach would be the thing to use??

I got this idea from the following thread. What do you think?

I used to professionally repair MDF moldings all the time. My repair material of choice was the two part epoxy putties that you knead to activate. Much better adhesion than Bondo and easier to use. Don't apply too much more than necessary and cut it down as much as possible when it hits the 'gel' state.

FYI - Bondo is activated by a peroxide in the cream hardener. If you are not diligent about removing the dust after sanding Bondo, you could end up bleaching the color out of 'acid set dye' carpets. Some of my coworkers found that out the hard way.
