Do you need us there before 11 ? Haven't done this before so I don't know if we need time to set things up or if that's all figured in to the arrival time....

Yes please. Setup starts at 9:00am. The crowd will be let in at 11:00am so the setup will need to be completed by 10:45am. I've instructed the coordinators that we need to keep the trailer and truck hooked up.
I'll be on site along with the committee helping direct everyone where they are to setup.

Only a technical question, does our site have ample power supply for our lathes and other power tools?

Neither of my wife's nurses can work tomorrow so I must back out and put my nurse uniform on. Have a great time and keep everybody safe

Thanks for the pictures. The day in Holly Springs was great. We made a lot of kids happy and had a great day doing so. It was a lot of fun to meet and get to know other NCWW members and spend time with them. I can't wait till the picnic and the next time I can volunteer my time a another event.

Thanks for these Barry. It was great to meet everyone. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or the kids ( and a couple of grown ups) but I know I will be sure to make it to every event I can.

Great pics Berry, I'll be looking for your on the cover of Time magazine. :eusa_clap I had a great time meeting everyone and then jumping in to work with the kids making lightsabers. It was fun and really rewarding to interact with the kids from big to little. I had a bad day at work on friday, the Kids Day just swept it away.

It was a great day in Holly Springs. It is often said on this site ...if there are no pictures it didn't happen...thank you Barry for documenting that the event did happen. Thanks also to Berta, Chuck and Dirk for helping to get us organized!

Thank you Barry for the pictures for those of us who wouldn't make it.
I particularly like a few things;
1. we talked about posting some safety "Rule" - DONE!
2. we talked about posting "you must be this tall" to operate the power tools - DONE!
3. and not least - I REALLY appreciate the picture of the "kid" in a wheel chair - REALLY showing how inclusive this group is!!!

I wish we had his name and his parent's permission to use that image!

A huge Thank You to the NCWW group that came to this years event. The kids and adults had a great time! The wood projects were a bid hit. I saw a lot of smiling faces carrying their wood project.
We gathered an estimated total and just over 1100 kids and about 3300 attendees.
