That is wonderful. I have an ambition to make several ornaments for next Christmas from some special wood retrieved from our church when we were in Charlotte years ago. What tools did you you use? Especially for hollowing?

Pretty basic stuff really, a 3/8 detail gouge did the main work along with a Sorby 1/16 parting tool. The hollowing was done using my Sorby "Multi tip hollowing tool" a new tool to me, but very happy with it so far. A modified "Allen" key would also work as it's a very small hollow and I might try that next time to get the sphere even lighter.
