Holy Springs Outreach Event

This should be a great event. Last year it was estimated that 500 kids attended!
This year we have more vendors/sponsors than last year. The weather is supposed to be in the low 70's and sunny.
The event is in Holly Springs at Suggs Farm. Power is available, the space is near the tree line if I recall correctly. Setup is requested to be completed by 1:30pm. Pack up can start at 4:30.
I'll be around and plan to stop by the NCWW space as time permits.

I begged a little and talked Bill Clemmons into coming along and helping us out. Thanks Bill and also Charlie. We can use a few extra hands.

This was a fine event - I will post some pictures tomorrow when I recover a little. Kids were lined up at our booth the whole time and even after closing time.

A huge thank you to the NCWW outreach today and the Outreach volunteers. The kids were lined up for hours and they were having a blast!
It was estimated that over 800 kids came to the event today.

We helped kids make at least 50 light sabers and about 30 peg games. We ran out of supplies a little after the event closed.

The kids and parents were great - showed a lot of patience with our long lines. We also collected a good bit of money for our Outreach efforts from many small cash donations. Thanks go to everyone who contributed - as a donor or as a volunteer. We couldn't do this thing without all of you.

A great thanks to all that helped with this event yesterday. We had long lines all day and the children had a blast. Our volunteers worked extremly hard to accommodate the kids. The parents were very thankfull that we came and asked if we would be back next year. As Ken stated we recieved a good amount of donations for Outreach and a few possibles for a few more events. THanks again folks and a big thanks to Kevin for inviting us.

Donn and Charlie manned the lathes and helped kids make light sabors until after closing time when we finally ran out of flashlights.
