I don't have the grip-tite, but I do have the magna switch feather board, which I like quite a lot. The hold is very tight and I'm actually prone to using it on my tablesaw b/c it's easy to re-position rather than traditional featherboards which take several additional seconds.
I have one that I purchased back in the mid 90's. I used it a lot and it always worked great and very easy to use. I have a granite top table saw now so it won't work on it but my grip-tite is autographed by Norm so it's a keeper.
I use mine once in a while, especially for narrow cuts. My grandson likes to wrestle it. He thinks it won't be long before he can lift it without using the release cam.
