I have been looking long and hard for a plain white sheet of Formica. (Need about 1/2 a sheet - 4x4.)

The only place I have found it is at Lowes for about $47.00 - 4' x 8' sheet.

Is there anyone out here that can offer any suggestions for looking elsewhere?

The only alternative I have found is to go with white 3/4" melamine. - about $26 for a 4 x 8 sheet at the BORG.

I was hoping in getting lucky on CL, but haven't seen any for about 6 months here locally (Raleigh/Cary/Durham).

Thanks,

Wayne

Wayne,

Have you checked out Habitat for Humanity's retail outlet in Raleigh?

Not too far from Harbor Freight, south on Capital Blvd.

They sell counter tops (already laminated with formica) probably can pickup what your looking for cheaper than HD or Lowe's.

They may be a bit pricy, don't know never looked at their laminate. But they may have what you need.

Hi, I saw some yesterday at Wurth Wood Group in Charlotte. They also have a store in Raleigh. Sorry, I don't have a clue about their formica prices.

Check out a couple of Lowes. I have gotten damaged sheets for really cheap. Save what you don't use initially for jigs, etc. It is amazing how you can use up a partial sheet and scraps.

The other thing to do is go to counter fabricators. They usually will sell cutoffs, damaged and other partial sheets.
