After several sessions in the shop with @Charlie, I’ve finished my first two segmented turnings. I’ve spent as much time building sleds, jigs, and lathe accessories so far as I have on projects, but the investment is now paying off.
The first is hard maple and Peruvian walnut. The second is primarily cherry, with a feature ring of hard maple and sapele.
Number 3 is now on the drawing board!
