thought you and the other DeWalt owners might like to see this. My new DeWalt saw was destined for the German market. Its got the European style riving knife and blade guard with dust collection, a different fence extrusion, a miter gauge with an aluminum extrusion face and vented steel panels in back and bottom. Also, it came with a 50hz 3ph 400V motor and magnetic switch. A bit much for me but luckily the single phase motor and switch were included. I changed the fence so it is more like the Biesemeyer style I'm accustomed to, and I'll get the slider as soon as I can. Thanks for looking, more pics as my shop comes together.

That is a great looking saw Phillip. Pretty slick how you got two motors with it. The extruded aluminum fence looks a lot like a Delta Unifence. I am willing to be someone here would be willing to buy it from your if your are looking to sell it. IIRC a couple folks were looking for an extra fence so they could make a shorter one.

here's the link. he's got two or three more saws (all dewalt). he's asking $600, this is the deal of month. they all come with euro motors but he'll give you the american motor or switch it out for you no charge. i'm loving this saw and can't wait to get the sliding table.

Interesting post Phillip. The rip fence looks the same as mine except I have a sliding aluminium extrusion which I really like because you can slide it back and use it as a cutoff stop when cross cutting. I find the fence perfectly accurate and easy to use - wouldn't swap it out for anything else. LOVE that guard and riving knife setup. I took mine off and made my own splitter. I know I should have a guard, but I can't find one that I don't consider more dangerous than not having one and being careful - it does force me to use push sticks ALL the time. You have the same switch arrangement as mine; I would seriously consider making the kick switch like I did; see my gallery pics. It has been a wonderful addition. As an aside - I would HIGHLY recommend this saw. I have the sliding table add on and it's great.

BTW - I have cast iron wing for sale if anybody is interested.
