Cutting MDO

I haven't been hanging out here for several weeks, but I have a quick question.

I'm going to be starting a project for my church later this week and plan on using MDO for an outdoor "sign". Has anyone ever cut this material? Althoug it is "medium density" which implies a similarity to MDF, it is manufactured for outdoor use. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how well it mills up. Anyone had any experience cutting this stuff?

Are you cutting out letters or just a background?

I'm cutting out a pretty large 3D Manger scene. About 6 sheets total of MDO. Most of the cuts are interior, so I'll be using a handheld jigsaw for most, after the sheets are dimensioned that is.

I'll be painting the entire project white with the exception of some gold foil angels that will perch on top. So thanks for the painting tips as well.
