If you have a project that would benefit from using composite decking, Builders Discount Center (http://www.buildersdiscount.net for locations) has a closeout on XTENDEX composite decking. The Henderson store had 12' and 16' in cedar (same as Saddle in Trex) and gray. The 12' boards are $14.49 and the 16s are 18.99. For comparison, Trex and similar run about $28 per 12' board. They also have a supply of 2x4, 2x6, railings, balusters, and other composite stuff for decks.

I purchased some of these today (Friday, Sep 28 and had to saw them for transport. They have wood grain on both sides, and seem to be heavy, sturdy and well built. I ask that this not turn into a composite good vs. bad thread, but from personal experience, you can pay once, install once, and forget it. That's been my story, anyway.

FWIW, based on my googling this product, their website is dead, which may explain the closeout. The product is recommended on the TOH website, if that's any consolation.
