Here's the plan. It can all be cut with a jigsaw. The easiest fix for the notches is to simply saw a beveled relief on the backside of the fence pieces, if you decide to make it. Drill 'clearance' holes at all of the sharp turns. Get tracing paper from Winfield or stores like AC Moore. Bigger the better, i.e. 14" X 17". Takes about 3-4 hours to cut out.

Nice job. Funny you said jig saw. I used to do all of my scrolls with a jig saw and an overhead projector before I discovered scroll saws and transfer paper.
