Hey y'all I just wanted to share my latest project. My wife was tired of using the window sill as a nightstand so I started this project about 6 months ago. Well a few weeks ago she bought a folding tray table, I got the hint. I wasn't working from any plans and got hung up on making the drawer slides so I stopped working on it for a while. I finally finished it tonight. I'm pretty proud of it. This is the biggest piece I've done so far. It was definitely a learning lesson.

Boomer, your night stand is beautiful. Do you mind sharing what you finished it with? Thanks.

Thank you everyone. I finished with one coat of BLO, dewaxed shellac (seal coat), then 3 coats of wipe on poly and finally buffed out finishing wax. I should have done 2 or 3 coats of the seal coat because when I smoothed it out with 400gr sand paper I must have sanded right through it because I got some blotchy spots with the poly but luckily it isn't very noticeable unless you look for it with the reflection of light.

Thank you everyone. Your compliments mean alot to me. When the Mrs got home and saw it she absolutely loves them both.

Great looking little table and coaster! There is one glaring problem I can see...... Your glass was empty!

I couldn't use the wife's glass and coaster before she did.

Very nice Boomer! I noticed that you added the leg detail AFTER assembly (or was the first pic a dry fit?) Why/how did you pull that one off? Everything looks top notch.

Thank you. Yeah the first pic was just a dry fit to see how it was looking after I tapered the legs.
