Chat Room Experience

Guess it was bound to happen! Apparently the alignment of stars and an anomalie in the time/space continuum resulted in 4 or 5 folks in the chat room last nite! It was a jovial group, but confusing for first time user. Reminded me of my military experience in a mobile radar unit. Sitting in front of a control panel with approximately 20 frequencies, six pilots, and weather reports all talking at once. Everyone had a "handle" (Redbird One to Blackwing Three, we're at angels 20 doing b&rs, copy?) and used lots of code/abbreviations.

So thanks for the experience folks 8)

Chat Room antics

Enjoyed the chat also. Wish more folks would use the chat room. I have a question, hopefully someone will read this and give some feedback. "What is the true function of a chat room?" Is it just a place to hang out and converse or is it a place to have meaningful dialog concerning a particular topic, or both. I believe it is both but want some others to offer their opinion. Maybe this is a weak attempt to promote the chat room and hopefully more will participate. Oh well, been a long day and maybe I am talking in circles.

I think that it is both, like you said. I think once people get in there for a little while, the conversation will turn to a specific topic. But like every party there is always several conversations going on at once. You can't talk to everyone. Dave:smile:

I found a site that had some abbreviations and meanings from chat rooms. Ie... chat room lingo. You can find most of this stuff by doing a google .. but I thought it may be useful to some.. this is by no means a "definative" list....
Since I always hate asking what a particular abbreviation is, someone else may feel the same way... so I hope this helps.
