Any reason _not_ to use a resaw blade?

I took advantage of the Laguna deal that was posted here (thanks, BTW!) to get a 1" carbide resaw blade for my bandsaw. I've got a few Timberwolf 5/8" steel blades. As I hoped / expected, the resaw blade cuts like the proverbial hot knife in butter. In addition, it leaves a much smoother surface - both on rip and cross cuts.

Is there any reason for me to NOT use this blade for everything? (straight cuts, obviously)

For that matter, is there any reason to keep the other blades?

TIA!

Nope, no reason. Just observe the usual precautions..stuff that might have hidden metal; no tight curves with a 1" blade; etc.

Wait - I just thought of a reason: it might lead to an irresistable impulse to put carbide tooling on the rest of your tools.
