new shop vacuum

My old Genie shop vacuum gave up yesterday so I need a new vac. I have a Fein for dust extraction so I need something to pick up floor debris. Seems the Shop Vac QSP Pro is getting good recommendations so I am leaning that way. If anyone has any good/bad experiences or recommendations I will...

Veneering and vacuum

I've been looking at some veneering and wondered what kind of results you can expect to get from applying a veneer if you don't have a vacuum? I'm looking at veneering some small strips about 2 inches wide and 8 inches long? I've read mixed opinions.
