Trimming Pen Blank ??

How do you pen turners trim the ends of pen blanks that use the large tubes like the JR Gent II and other large pens? I have the barrel trimmer kit that has several different sizes but none that will fit a tube where the blank has been drilled with a 12.5mm bit. Is there a method other than with...

Trimming doors- simple X-cut sled mod *w/pics*

After the trouble I had trimming the last set of doors for my backbench upper cabinets I decided there must be a better way. So I made a simple, temporary mod to my X-cut sled that does the trick. Since my sled has a low (slightly > 3/4" high) fence I was able to mount a piece of ply to the top...

Panel Trimming

I was wondering what some of you guys and gals use to trim the ends of panels over 18" or so. Do you use a sled on your table saw or use a skill saw with a straight edge? My radial arm saw has its limits and as far as square goes well...
