End grain Spalted Pecan Box

About 1.5" x 2.25" Turned end grain, AO and buffed. Yes the lid does have that "Pop" This was a small cut off from the bowl I turned for the Museum for Scott S.

turning pecan

Reclaimed pecan

Pecan anyone?

OK, so we had a couple of large branches from our pecan tree that had to be taken down for the new garage (sorry, "storage building") we are having built. Don't know if anyone would want or could use these, but I can secure them if anyone is interested. There are a few lengths of about 4 to 6...

experience with air drying pecan?

Does anyone have experience air drying pecan? I have about 350 bf of 1 x from 6-18" by 8 feet. We sawed it last week and it is now stacked (with stickers) in a shed. Should we have it kiln dried? Does it check and warp a lot. Any advice would be helpful.

A Pecan and 2 Lams sitting on a rock

sunbathing:gar-La; Turned these this morning - found out that the LVL material does not stain well :nah: - Didn't think to take a pic of the stained one - I just sanded it back off - The Lams have BLO and Gloss Poly - 2 coats and the Pecan has a coat of Shellawax View image in gallery
