What do you do for dust collection with your smaller tools?
I have a small benchtop bandsaw, a Ridgid oss, and a delta belt/disk sander. They each have 2-1/2" or smaller dust collection ports. Right now I have a 4" pipe from my cyclone running through 4x4x2-1/2 wyes and reducers going to these...
Hey folks,
With my baby boy looking to venture out into the shop (garage) more and more, efficient dust collection has moved to the top of my list of priorities. (Not the easiest task when you're an OWWM guy - DC wasn't really on the radar at that point in our history).
I've got a solid game...
Came across these while looking for something else and was wondering if those of you in the know about dust collection could advise if either of these items would be worth considering.

So, I have two goals with this post.
1. I've been working on a walnut toy box. This is my first project using rough lumber. Pictures below:

I am making a oak tabletop cabinet and have had no problems with the planer, in fact I just put new blades into it. The oak planed just fine but when I tried to plane some poplar it stopped up the dust system. I remember a friend of mine use to have problems with his system when ever he would...
Getting to the point where I need to add some DC to my work area. I've been using my shop vac connected to the port for my table saw and nothing on the blade guard. But as you know that doesn't work too well, still lots of dust all over the place.
My space is small (12x24) and is shared as...
Hello all, its time for the Fall Donation Drive. My second favorite time of the year, right after the Spring Drive!
Okay, now you know where we're going...
Can we get the "Donate" button/link and the Thermometer ready to go?
I'll have a thread in the morning (9/1) under Fund Raisers. I put...
A friend is putting in a new shop - 12' x 22' - and will be pouring a concrete floor.
Before he does that he wondered about putting some dust collection tubes (I assume 4" PVC) in the floor bringing period ports up to the surface to connect to various equipment with solid and or flexible...
Saw this on SlickDeals.
NewEgg is selling for Toolking the
DeWalt D27905 10-Gallon Dust Extractor Vacuum
Price wise, it is about $60 lower than the lowest I've seen in the past few months. About $100 less than street and about $300 less than HD.
I don't know how good of a Vacuum this...
This would be a lot more interesting if he would sell by the piece. Makes me wonder what is wrong with the set or some of the tools that would push the seller to only sell as a full package.
