    First dovetail problems

Finally built up enough nerve to attempt dovetailing some drawers for a project for LOML. I'm using a PC router with D handle and a 14 degree dovetail bit on a Rockler dovetail jig. Spacing and depth are great. My problem is that the dovetails are too tight. I have to hit them really hard...
  18. Small Dovetail Vise

    Small Dovetail Vise

This vise is wide enough for a 5 1/2" drawer. The cam levers are from Rockler and the springs under the chops expand the vise when pressure is released. The guide bars on the top and front are handy for aligning the pin and tail boards when transferring the tail outlines to the pin board.
  19. Large Dovetail Vise

    Large Dovetail Vise

This is a prototype of a dovetailing vise I built from 2x4's. It is wide enough for a 16" panel.
  20. Dovetail Wenge & Ambrosia Maple Bowl

Dovetail Wenge & Ambrosia Maple Bowl

This bowl was made by cutting a sliding dovetail in two flat pieces of wood, gluing them together and cutting them with a scroll saw. There are eight segmented stacks that were cut, glued and sanded.
