chest

4 drawer chest

Made this one for my grand daughter's, wife painted it. The dresser is made out of a bunch of scrape species, a little but of everything, 1/4 oak plywood, poplar, beech, oak and Southern Yellow Pine - it was gonna be painted anyways :)

Appropriate secondary wood for use as drawer sides on a walnut chest of drawers?

I am in the final planning stages of my next project, a low, wide walnut chest of drawers to go with with the walnut bed I finished this summer. The Carcass top and bottom will be out of ply and the sides out of walnut as well as the finished top. Drawer fronts will be walnut with half blind...

Use for old chest freezer?

We've got an older chest style deep freeze that we've kept in our garage. It's been acting a bit flakey lately (don't know if it just needs a good defrost, a tuneup, or major repair) and we've decided we don't really need it as a freezer anymore. The current plan is to just take it to the dump...

First Chest

Niece needed a hope chest which she had promised as a birthday gift for her daughter (for whom I am the surrogate "Grandpa"). Made this from some white oak purchased from Scott Smith. Niece and grand-niece are happy, so I am too. Cedar lining is removable, should anyone develop allergies...
