    Quick answer needed????

    I have a 11.75" piece of curly maple, most of the curl is on the outer edges. The box I am currently working on needs a 8" lid. Should I rip it down the middle a glue the 2 halves back together or just trim off one edge to get my 8" width. I am gonna do something tonight so hope y'all are paying...
