This area will be mostly for lumber storage; you can see the framing for the "hay door," which will be handy for loading longer pieces of lumber. (It's about 5' square, so we could even pass sheet through if needed, I suppose.) This truss design, unlike a traditional "attic-style" truss, allows for the entire upstairs area to be used, not just the box in the middle. (There's no need for interior walls at the pitch breaks.)
