Bill , I knocked together a simple spline jig , but it wouldn't hurt to have a more sturdy unit. I also made a sled to cut 22.5 degrees for the thin face frame pieces. We can also look at the Tommy Mac method , from Rough Cut. It will depend on each person's design preference. I'll try to get together with you soon about some workshop details. Thanks for your help.

Of course, you could get fancy and make the splines with a dovetail bit on the router table. Just thinking out loud.

Think quieter Ken. You are right though. Dovetailed splines would look good. Maybe a subject for a different workshop?
