Got around to organizing some wood I bought from a family who was cleaning out a shop. I got a whole stack and couldn't even see the wood for the dust. These are the pieces I can't seem to figure out.
The pitch pockets are typical of cherry.I would say cherry as well.
Nothing like a diet rich in cyanide!! LOLCherry was also my initial thought.
Maybe go by smell? It has a rather spicy scent IMO when cut or sanded, and the sawdust has a horrible bitter taste to it. Not that I recommend eating sawdust, but sometimes mouth breathers like me do...
