This is my first attempt at simple marquetry and I've got a newfound appreciation for you guys and gals that do scroling and marquetry. It certainly trys ones patience. This is one of the ends of a side board that wifey wants for our dining room. It's white ash and I'm trying to give it a Green and Green or Art Deco feel. I got the design from a pillow that she has. More later....

Bill, It's walnut.... I should have used ebony but I didn't want to waste what little I've got as it is very brittle and with my lack of skill with a scroll saw there's no telling what would have happened :no:

Like trent, I ain't tried it either. This is an EXCEPTIONAL first try. I "may" end up trying it afterall!
