We are working quite a lot with great wheels in our new business, and want to contract out the work for spindles.

They look like this:

We just need the metal part, and would make the pulleys ourselves.

Also there is the possibility of making axles for flyer assemblies on flax & Canadian production wheels. They look like this:

I have been doing these myself but do not really have metal-working capabilities yet in my workshop so it is tedious.

Alan,
I owe you guys a visit, not sure how quickly I will get up there. Probably next week on the Tuesday???
But I will have a look at it for you, if I can help, I will, if not I will help you find someone who can!

Give Dean Curfman a call at Oak Hill Ironworks in Morganton. He has a fantastic blacksmith shop and is set up for production runs too. PM me if you would like his number.
