Thought I'd pass along my comments on the new Tage Frid dvd.
For those of you who enjoyed his older tape on making dovetails, this is a lot of fun.
It covers a lot more about Tage Frid. Shows his home, some of the furniture he has made and lots of stories of his apprenticeship in Denmark. It also includes the complete dovetail video.
He also goes through building a cabinet with raised panel doors. Whats different is his raised panels are not square, more like a flat barrel shape.
There are two extra video clips on the vaccum press and bent lamination.
I laughed quite a few times. He's quite a character!
The thing I got from this video over others is great explanations of design concepts transferred to completed project.
Not sure I'd recommend it for just techniques. Its more fun and inspirational.
