Please see pics on craigslist TWO six-foot Long Steel Bar Clamps - antiques - by owner -...
They are on either side of a support beam, maybe five inches apart.I'd take'm if they were closer.
They are mounted on a beam sandwich of 1/2" OSB between a pair of 2 x eights, so maybe three and a half inches apart.I'd take'm if they were closer.
Now that's working for a sale.Do you have good Blue Crab there in Mayville?
Still too far apart... I was looking for some on a single 2x6 at about 1.5" apart. Blue crabs are plentiful in the area. My favorite are softshell. They are mounted on a beam sandwich of 1/2" OSB between a pair of 2 x eights, so maybe three and a half inches apart.

I know, a guy offered me that a couple years back and I held out for more - likely wind up as a Habitat Donation after I pass on for real. Those clamps are Hargrave 640 models. They're my favorite for compression when real compression is needed.
In year past, I've been known to cut the long ones down to get an easier handling clamp.
$25.00 each is a steal.
