Alrightty then..... what can I use in place of a burnisher that I didn't know to buy when I got the scrapers??????:kamahlitu

Hello Barbara,
Hope you are doing well. Practically, any metal object that is tempered harder than the scraper can be used to make a burr on the scraper. The scraper material is usually not very hard. Some of the galoots I know make burnishers out of valve stems from internal combustion engines. As for store-bought versions, seems like a lot of folks have the Crown tools burnisher, they're available from Klingspore and other places. In a pinch to make a burr, you can use a metal punch, cold chisel, drill bit, or a good quality hardened screwdriver. You probably have something already there in your shop that will work fine. :icon_thum
