Took a road trip today to visit a fellow in Boykins, VA I stumbled onto on Craigslist. Chris Vickers is a really nice guy, very friendly and great to work with. I went home with 40 bdft of air dried Ambrosia Maple for a very nice $1.25. I'll post a picture of the maple when I get a chance to take one.

I encouraged Chris to join the group here and if anyone in extreme NE NC or SE Virginia is looking for another supplier, I recommend Chris.

He will be moving slightly east into southwestern Suffolk in the next 6 months or so - he's working on building a new kiln and warehouse there. Looked to be like the new location is only about 500 yards from the Carolina line :wink_smil

BTW - also got a small piece of Primavera to play with and planed it out today - very interesting grain patterns.
