Solar Dried Oak

This past week I pulled approximately 800 bf of white oak out of my solar kiln. It had been in the kiln since last fall. I haven't had a chance to check the MC, but I'm really pleased with the "look" of the lumber. No real twisting, cupping, etc.

After I check if over closely, I'll have some for sale if anyone's interested.

Glad it turned out good for you. If it's been in there since the Fall, I would think that it would be bone dry by now. :thumbs_up:thumbs_up

Tracy....just keep an eye out for that dangerous guard dog he has now, if she's anything like her master she's gonna be a little cantankerous!

That's great to hear. My little makeshift solar kiln does a passable job but then again, I'm not trying to dry dimensional lumber either.
