Recommendations on finishing OVRX flooring

Hi all,

I just finished putting down the barricade OVRX sub flooring. I wanted to put hardwoods on top of that, but the budget won't allow for that right now. So I am thinking I'd like to seal and stain it. I want to go with a darker stain so that debris and sawdust show up better. Right now, I can't tell when I need to sweep up!

What's the best product(s) to use to protect the subfloor until I can afford to put some hardwoods down (6-12 months)?

I just used 3 coats of Minwax Polyurethane made for floors - a mop like thingy from Lowes to spread it around.

This proved to be a good idea when water got dumped on it unexpectedly. It just pooled up and didn't soak in.

Any good paint should also work. Or add dye into the urethane.

well, I certainly don't need another excuse for not cleaning up!
