Organizing tape measures

I have several as well but have a hard time keeping track of them. I did see at Woodcraft in Greensboro, a gadget that you screw to your workbench that is made to hold a tape measure.

Working in construction you'd be surprised at the guys that have to carry around the LOOOOOOOOngest tape they can buy in their nail pouch. Too much freight for me. A 25' will do fine for most layout work that I do. I do keep a 16'/5M version handy for the odd metric project. As for the shop, the old standard and reliable Stanley 1/2" x 12' tape fits in my pants pocket & I can keep it with me all the time (no belt clip). I once pulled it out at work and one guy asked me if it came from my Mom's sewing basket. :gar-La;
