Oak Burl vase.
Here is an Oak burl vase that I just finished from the large Oak burl i got in the spring. It is 9" tall finished with deft. It is new form for me.
Thanks,
Jack
Looks awesome to me Jack.
What did you use for your hollowing?
The differences in the burl really played well in your form. Looks like the live edge held up well, also.
It always happens...just as I start to think that I know what I'm doing, someone comes along and shows how it's really done. Fantastic piece of work:eusa_clap
Thanks everyone, this is from a oak burl that just keeps on giving me beautiful wood to work with. This was bowl #27 from it. Ken did that last chunk of wood turn out to be from this burl?
Thanks again everyone. Rob, it was green and I turned it to finished thickness and let it dry in a brown paper bag. It warped some, but being natural edge the warp doesn't show much.
