I have this chuck. It is my first. But one thing to be careful of: what is the length of your spindle? Mine is (Jet-1236) is too long and keeps the jaws from being able to close all the way without backing the chuck off. I also have had terrible problems with getting this chuck stuck on my spindle. Even with great care to make sure I don't tighten it too tight or abuse it by getting catches it still is a royal pain to remove.
