Good Morning,
I am a new member from Raleigh. I have been fixing things throughout my life, but I got into woodworking after purchasing a new house. Once I finished all of my major projects (18 months later), I had accumulated a number of needed tools and have been slowly getting into woodworking for fun. I have spent most of my time thus far making storage and jigs for my very small (9'x10') section of garage that I get to use for projects. This forum seems to be full of helpful people with tons of experience and knowledge, so I thank you in advance for accepting a self-taught neophyte like me. I look forward to continuing learning what has proven to be a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a day off when I can escape from the "honey do" list. So far the only thing that I have actually made other than sharpening jigs and crosscut sleds is this hard maple and purpleheart end grain cutting board that was a Christmas present for my mother. Enjoy the new year.
