Ok guys, it is time for you guys to get moving on those rockers. Boy, I can get a good bit done when I have the shop to myself. Here is a sneak preview of my current figured cherry rocker. After a good busy Sunday I've got all the jointery done and seat shaped. I've got to make the spindles yet and glue up the rockers.
You might be able to tell in the top pic that the back legs are not square in this chair like every previous chair. It takes 3 routers and a bit of thinking to get the angled jointery right, but it can be done.
This chair was done at 3 degrees.
So guys, you know who you are. Get those rockers shaped up!!!
I'll be starting another class in November for anyone wanting to learn. There is nothing more gratifying to me than making a Maloof Rocker.
