Earl, these look real nice, and I think the photography is fine. But, all of these look like they will hold water! I like the ones you make that leak!

Very nice! Miniature? My largest bowl is about 7". Most have been in the < 5" range...

Are the bottoms made from a single piece?

I always see single piece bottoms and wonder about that.

Why not make the bottom to match the sides?

I used to make segmented bottoms, 4 piece, 8 piece, 16 piece with a center plug ect.
But too many times some of them would have a seam open.
So I have been making floating bottoms, two segmented rings with a 1/4 x 5/16 rabbet in one holding a floating bottom.
But for these little, quick and easy turnings I am not going to all that trouble, so yes they have a 1 piece bottom.

A picture that shows a floating bottom sort of.

Beautiful work Earl. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap But I have to ask, when you say "miniature," do you mean they can't be seen from space? :gar-La;
