Mini Roubo workbench with wooden cross mechanism

This is an interesting project that a Canadian guy did for his daughter. The leg vise has a cross mechanism with wooden arms. 1/6 scale would make the bench height about 5-6” high but comparing with his hands I’d say it was 8-10” tall.

I am curious if this design would be of use to any of y’all and for what?

the amount of woodword on my current model project made give a bunch of money to Lee Valley tool,, thier 1/3 scale planes are great functional tools, but dealing with small stuff in a big vise wasn't going to work.. so using thier scale vises I made a benchtop workbench,, all hard maple from lab...

the small workbench is getting almost daily use,, kicking myself for not making one year back, it's great to vise up small stock and not kill it in large vise!!!!

How did the tool tray work out? Seems like it would be an asset with the smallish benchtop.
