I tell them, when searching through piles that when I pay my they want my check to be 100 % good, and that's the way I want my lumber.Once had a lumber dealer that said a customer told him, "My dollars have got 4 corners on 'em and my lumber better darned well too!"
ive never seen that at lowes. I'm guessing that's about 12/4 stock, maybe fas grade, poplar - so about 16 bd ft? That would be 4.38/bd ft! Worse if it's only 8/4. Sheesh.
It's Eastern White pine and decently clear too (from the pics). The Lowe's website has a S2S white pine slab with both live edges for $125 (2"t x 19"w x 6'). So $6.58/bf. The Hardwood Store has rough cut 8/4 "White pine (knotty)" for $3.05/bf.

You cant finish to 2" consistently with 8/4 stock especially wide and long , at least thats been my experience. your mileage may vary.
