Latest Amazing Project Off Of My @longer.global Ray5 20 Watt Laser.
A Beautiful Layered Tinkerbell Design!
The design was bought off of @etsy and uses 6 layers to make some beautiful 3D art in the shape of Tinkerbell!
I made the original out of thin material from @buildersdiscountcenter but quickly seen that this was still too thick to achieve the desired effect
So, I got some of the 3mm basswood off of Amazon and made another one and this is the one I finished as a gift.
I imported the design into @lightburnsoftware and my settings for cutting the design were 85% Power, 300 Speed and 1 Pass with Air Assist On. For the engraved details I used 27% Power, 3500 Speed, and 1 pass.
It took around 40 minutes to cut all six layers
After that I used a light colored @minwaxusa wood stain and a darker stain to add some depth and contrast to the layers.
After everything was dried and glued, I gave it several coats of @rustoleum Clear Gloss for a finish.
