Charlie, I marvel at the precision and symetry of your craftsmanship! One thing that just struck me - have you ever tried putting a light bulb inside one of these and seeing what the external patterns would look like?

It's just an odd thought that just struck me...

I am glad you posted this Charlie! They look beautiful!

As for the lampshade.... I wonder if you could combine my favorite woodwork, and make an open segmented bowl, with a feature ring that has scrolled pictures of whatever....

All that would be necessary is some fairly large segments in the feature that could be scrolled out, and then glued...

Some people just have an eye for good "form" and some people don't ... you certainly have it! I remember seeing your pieces in person last year and was just in awe! Great work, and even better form!
