Latest Amazing Project On My @longer.global Ray5 20 Watt Laser Engraver.
A Family Tree Piece With Names!
The design is from an @etsy file pack and I imported the design into @lightburnsoftware and dialed in my settings for my material from @buildersdiscountcenter
For engraving I used a Speed Of 3500, Power Of 27%, And 1 Pass.
For cutting I used a Speed Of 300, Power Of 86%, And 1 Pass With Air Assist On
For the small hearts I used 3mm craft basswood with the same settings.
It took around 30 minutes to do all of the laser work.
The backer board I stained a dark color and the tree I stained a light color with @minwaxusa wood stain.
After it dried I assembled it with medium grade CA Glue and activator.
After that dried I gave it several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss and the project was completed for a family friend!
This was fun to make and is a very versatile design! I even engraved a family quote on the back!
