This saw never let me down, but this evening I let it down. I pinched the blade and broke it when trying to remove it from a log. I really blew it and am quite upset with myself for not being more patient when trying to remove the blade. I'd like to get a replacement blade of a similar vintage since it worked so well over the years. The blade is 30 inches wide and 1 inch tall. It is labeled Craftsman, and as far as I can tell the saw is from the "red oval" Craftsman label era (1960s?). I'm crossing my fingers that someone out there has had an extra blade sitting around for 50+ years they're willing to sell.

I'm in the Raleigh area. Thanks.

Bahco is about the only quality blade still made for this type saw. Several (10-15) years ago I made a batch of folding wooden bow saws and did an extensive search for blades. There are some cheap Chinese versions but the Bahco is the only one I could find of any value.
