Since the number of volunteers wasn't reached to support having the kids do turning projects, but there was some interest from members. I'd like to propose the following option to the group and Outreach Committee.
Would the NCWW group be interested in still attending to get recognition within the community and state; have the volunteers that were interested in attending do wood turnings or other kid friendly items; then the items would be placed in a raffle that a kid would be able to win? This would still allow kids to see woodworking, receive a take away and still be manageable for the NCWW's?
Just a though and option for consideration.
