Holiday Weekend Turnings

Haven't done too much in the shop with all the hot weather lately, but I got a few things completed over Labor Day weekend:

Sycamore finished with BLO.

And this is my first attempt at turning a pen:

Padauk with no finish - I just sanded through a 12,000 grit micro mesh pad.

Boy, I wanted to get down to the shop last weekend, but had too many other things on the list first. Those look great. That pen has a great shine, even with no finish. :thumbs_up:thumbs_up

Very Nice work. Interesting bowl, I like unique.

And the pen looks great for a first timer... Way better than me for sure. And I just love Padauk~! Smells a little bit like spicy cotton candy to me.
