Hard Maple...

Greetings to all....I've pretty much got my mind made up to build a Veritas workbench using hard maple. I know there are other species that would work fine, but really, the folks at Veritas know a heck of a lot more than I do & they recommend using hard maple. So....Does anyone have ideas or suggestions of the best & least expensive place to buy approx 100+ bd ft of it? I'm in the Charlotte, NC area. Thanks in advance for any feedback you can provide.

No way will you find it reasonable in Charlotte. I think your best bet is Catawba Hardwoods up above Hickory, or maybe talk to Kyle. He may know of be able to a hold of some at a reasonable price.
