I was able to connect with Alex yesterday and brought the lathe to it's new temporary home. Looking forward to making spinny things.

That is GREAT Dan, did you find someone who will help you get started? (If not, you should start another post as there are a LOT of good turners near you) I wish I was closer, I could get you kicked off doing a lot of the wrong things! ha ha
