Finishingbottle stoppers

I just finished turning a bottle stopper. Are there any special considerations concerning finishes?

I use a friction polish and paste wax afterward. Probably not the best choice of finishes seeing as most of the bottle stoppers will be used with alcoholic beverage bottles :eusa_doh:
I would suggest spray lacquer.

I've been finishing mine with Deft spray laquer lately. It's a good hard finish for aky-haul .

I think I would use a CA finnish like on pens.
