Congrats Jeremy! Nice score and well deserved :icon_thum

We really need to have a Charlotte shop crawl and have you do a demo of some of those new tools! :wtongue:

Wow ... got to put the sander to use and was shocked at how much power that thing has. I thought I'd be able to handle 80 grit paper on some quarter sawn oak WITHOUT the handle ... but when it kicked in, I realized why the handle is included ... that baby bit in!
I have to slow mine down when cutting aggressively. I'm just getting weaker!

It did a great job for sure ... but I'd expect such at $450~!

I was shocked by how hot the sander motor casing got while using it ... and quickly. I guess with that much motor it's gotta get hot ... hope that's normal.
If you let it run free for a few seconds, it'll cool fast.

The only other concern I had was how difficult the plug was to attach. I could tell visually that I was doing it right, but it just wouldn't go. Maybe because it's new plastic? I don't know, but it's on now!
After 10-12 uses the plug gets easier.
I use my Fein too, with a $15 Shopvac soft hose. Just a couple turns of blue tape on the vac port and it fits well. Look into the polishing pads too!
